First off just want to say hello. I'm new here and this is my first thread (second post.)

Yesterday I picked up the nightshade version of cold steel's counter tac II. I love this little knife the shape and size make it the perfect boot knife, I will be ordering the real steel version asap! As much as I love this little knife... It isn't sharp. I was wondering if there was a way to sharpen the "plastic" blade.

Oh and if anyone has any sheath suggestions or carry suggestions for this little bugger it would be greatly appreciated!

I'd be rather suprised if you can get any type of cutting edge on there, let alone hold it through any cut. Those nightshades have always struck me as stabbing weapons.

I tried cutting with one of the old CAT tantos, and the kerambit.

The only way you can sharpen them really, is to use a file, emmory board, or just carve on it with a lanolium knife to put an "edge" on it as best as you can.

Sheath wise, you can make one out of cardboard and tape, or one out of a piece or rubbermaid container.

SHEATH: try fabricating one using the plastic from a 2-liter soda bottle. It's not elegant but it is tough.
