Sharpening Cold Steel Serrations?

I have a Large Cold Steel Voyager clip point half serrated. What is the best way to sharpen the infamous CS serrations with a Spyderco tri angle sharpmaker?

As a first step, try a light honing on the opposite side close to a zero angle. If this fails to be productive then hone in the larger scallops with the corner of the rods. You can also work inside the individual very small teeth.

Lansky does make a "dog bone" hone that fits cold steels serrations, might cost you 5-6.00 dollars?

I used that Lansky "dog bone" that fits the Cold STeel serrations when I still had a CS knife and it seemed to work pretty well. I have since given up on CS knives. I think their serration pattern is just too small. I only have about 3 CS items and I will slowly phase them out.

I think Spyderco's and Benchmade's serration patterns are really great. You can sharpen them with all sorts of sharpening gear.

if your not shure if you can sharpen it correctly, or dont want to by the gear i believe you can send your knives to cold steel for sharpening, if they screw up at least you will get a new knife

C. Stamp mentioned the method I used.

The only thing I can put forth is that I use only the brown stones on the inside with the Sharpmaker doing CS serrations and white on the outside (smooth side).

That seemed to get the best working edge for me.
