So I just purchased a PE etched cricket last week and its been a great knife. It took about 2 hours to reprofile the darn thing with the sharpmaker (the diamond rods seem to be losing their bite)(30/40). I can get the main curve shaving sharp, however, I cant get the inward slope or the tip shaving sharp. I can get my knives to whittle hair but for some reason, this reverse S curve is killing me.

I've tried the sharpie trick but it still isn't working. Do you guys think Im using too much pressure when sharping? Since this blade is a recurve and all, I can only use the corners which I am not use to. This is the only thing I can think of. Any feedback would be great.

Just continue with light pressure, go slow by the tip and make sure your angle is straight down
