Sharpening dull tip on a Sharpmaker

I'm very new to this, and I'm having trouble getting the tip sharp on a BM 943 154CM and S30V, both of which have slightly chipped tips. Can anyone provide advice on tip sharpening techniques using a Sharpmaker only (it's the only equipment I have).

If you really don't have anything else available (abrasive paper?) you could try using the flats of one of the Sharpmaker medium rods as a file/hone, freehand. Depending on how chipped the blade is, it could still be pretty slow work.
