Sharpening Emerson La Griffe

Hello!

I have just bought an Emerson La Griffe, and the the edge was not sharp at all! I have tried several time to sharpen it on Spyderco Sharpmaker without any good results(yes I have had good results on chisel ground blades before on the shapemaker!). Is there anyone out there who have got tips on how I can get the blade shap and useful?

Hi,

I've just resharpened the cutting edge to about 20 deg. (coarse crock-stick sharpener) and then polished the edge with fine crock-stick. The last 2-3 strokes were on the "flat" side of the blade to remove burr. Anyway, after 3 hours of sharpening my LaGriffe shaves and cuts like a dream (no "ripping" through a paper - just clean cuts).
