Sharpening equipment question

Looks like it'd be handy, but since I already have a 2x72" grinder that's what I use to get the basic edge. If I had that I'd have to have anouther size belt.
 
Yes, we use them, except, like Will pointed out, a lot bigger.

For the price of that thing loaded, you could get a Coote belt grinder, 2"x72".
 
There are several similar units out there.They all work about the same.I have one I built for sharpening,but it runs slow,not fast like that one.It uses 2X36" belts.Last belt is a leather strop belt.Works real good.Using my 2X72 to do the final sharpening almost took off part of my hand.These units are designed to give a safer hand position.
 
Thanks everyone for their help. I did not want to get a big 2 X 72 one.... yet. If it were variable speed, it would be sweet. :)
