Sharpening extreme?

I acquired this 102 (1996) today at work. I don't know about everyone here, but the sharpening angle at the tip seems a bit extreme. Basically laying the blade right down to the top edge of the grind line. Other than that it's in good shape, just need a sheath.

some how i dont think that is a factory edge, tooo little angle
looks like some i used to fix for folks that thought
less angle on edge = sharper edge
