Some questions:
1)I guess it comes at >20° angle, am I right?

2)Using the DMT Deluxe aligner kit I cannot hold the blade firmly, looks like I should place some material between blade and clamp to avoid blade oscillation, as relief starts right at the spine.

3)Edge Pro: better than DMT butt cannot still have the blade resting flat on the base.

I'd go 600 grit DMT or similar on Edge Pro.
Otherwise I guess I'll be forced into hand sharpening....

TIA

When my blade shifts in the aligner I put a piece of masking tape on the spine and around onto the blade 'sides' and clamp onto that.
Also remember that (IIRC) holding the knife is recommended, not holding the clamp.
I also like a polished edge so I go to the extra fine hone, then a paper wheel, then a strop on a loaded leather.
