Hello, had to do some restorative work on my X7 for some camping and since my last hatchet video crapped out halfway through, figured I'd turn on the camera. Am using a Washboard, but this technique could be used exactly as demo'd with any bench stone. The final stropping could be done with compound on a sheet of paper over a combination stone (coarse side works better) instead of a WB, using the exact same mechanics/strategy. For touchups that do not involve working out chips or dings, one could go straight to the compound on paper and is fast and easy.

PS The fill in the handle is gutter seam sealer pumped in - you cannot save the unused portion and it gives the hatchet a more neutral balance point. Adds about 5oz to the tool.
