sharpening flat grind vs convex grind with Lanskey?

I have a Lanskey 5 stone sharpening system. I'm looking at either buying a Benchmade Bushcrafter S30V steel with a flat grind or a Bark River Bravo 1 3V steel with a convex grind. Could anyone advise me on which type of edge would sharpen better with my Lanskey sharpening system? I'm a novice sharpener, but trying to improve. I didn't know if the edge type would have an affect on my ability to sharpen without damaging or not.
Thanks for any knowledgeable help anyone can offer.

If you sharpen convex bevel with lansky you will reprofile it, like anything else you sharpen with set angle guide system like lansky. However I read about a trick where you bend your lansky guide rod in order to make it 'fit' the convex edge. I have no idea how this would work out because personaly I haven't never tried it.

If you want to stick with your lansky system and don't care about convex bevel, then it doesn't matter what you get. Convex bevel however may take longer to profile on lansky, debending on which angle you sharpen it at, because convex has more meat around bones. Your lansky stones may be goners after sharpening s30v or 3v, as they are VERY wear resistant steels.
