Sharpening GJ on SM

For those that sharpen or touchup your Gentleman Jim on the Sharpmaker, do you turn the handle in towards the other side when nearing the tip to compensate for the edge getting thicker?

I don't have a GJ but I do turn the handle towards the other side in pointy blades, I think you'd have to to prevent the issue you're mentioning. Good point.
