I can get my ti lock deadly sharp in seconds. Same with the sebbies I used to have. Including a few members that sent me a 21 or 25 for a sharpening. My ti lock is 20 degrees to 15 convex. It came more like 17 with a 22 edge now that I think about it.
It sucks how hard it can be to work the factory grind. Don't be afraid to add a little more angle on the sharpmaker and use the corners of the darks until it shaving sharp. Its that important to get 99% of the way with the first stone or your wasting time. If you still can't. Increase your angle or reprofile . That is what I did ever so slightly on o e of the first few sharpening's .
The final step for me is the strop. Heel to tip. Just over the back bevel angle does the job . About 15 strokes per side on the coarse then the same on fine.
That is all. Just a simple run on sentence that may help someone.
And I know its been said before but today was a great day to hone.
