I have had this knife for several years but it has gotten really dull. Tried some quick touch ups but nothing seems to work . Steel seems really hard. First what angle should I be using on this blade. Saw one post where did 10 degrees x 2.
What tips or methods? I have all kinds of sharpening devices including the Ken Onion powered and the Russian deal. Thanks.

Can't answer the specifics on angle (I don't have one)... but if you've had it several years and is "really dull", it probably needs a full sharpening... so "quick touch ups" won't do anything. You'll probably have to raise a burr, establish a new edge, etc., to get it sharp.

You can determine the angle by marking it with a Sharpie and putting it on whichever sharpener you want. Use a fine stone and swipe the edge, adjust the angle until the marker is removed along the entire bevel width.
