Hello steel lovers :)
You know I saw this man at a knife show (NYCK), who had this kit that looked pretty sweet! He mounted the knife and the two handle arms with stones just swings on both sides that connects to the blade like a robot. He just simply sharpened away. Sometimes he switches to a finer stone. It looked rigid, I wanted to ask him but he seemed too busy for questions.
So does anyone know what is the most accurate and easiest to use sharpening kit available nowadays? I want my knives to slice like razor. ^^ Because I really need one.
Thanks for your time guys..

The system you saw is the Wicked Edge system. There is a member selling them at a reduced rate in the exchange area under the knifemaker's supply section. They look to be good kits. I have the Edge Pro Apex kit which also works fairly well with a likely a slightly longer learning curve than the Wicked Edge.

I don't know anything about the wicked edge system but this is MY personal favorite.

Google Lansky Sharpening system and you will find videos and other info on the system. You can get it with regular oil honing stones and or diamond stones. Personally I like the oil stones. The first knife I sharpened with the Lansky system I sent it out to the customer with a warning that it was extemely sharp! He emailed me back after getting it and said he thought that was quite possibly the sharpest knife he had ever seen. I figure that is a good recomendation from a customer that knows his skinning knives!

I shied away from sharpening "systems" for a long time. But recently I started using a Lansky like the one in Dixieblade's link and I'm pretty dang impressed. It's almost idiot-proof. It keeps an even bevel very well, and the oilstones that came with it give a very good clean edge. I haven't tried the diamond stones. I do get some small scratches on my blades from the clamp itself, I'll have to put some tape on that or something. But all in all, I recommend it.
