I've been trying to get an edge on my stinger for two days now! I'm new to this sharpener, but I just can't seem to get it sharp! I'm sharpening at the 21 degree angle. I've used all the stones, then I stayed with the medium and fine. I can't even slice denim! It's literally duller than my butter knife. Can anyone give me some advice?

Do you ever feel a burr on the opposite side of the edge that you were sharpening?

If your new to the EdgePro relax, call Dale at EdgePro he'll help you out.

Looking at the knife I'd say your problem arises from the fact tha the flat spot on the side of the blade is very small, using a Sharpie mark the edge than lay the knife on it's primary bevel, than adjust the angle by hand till you can match the secondary bevel, lock it in than sharpen till you get a burr, flip and repeat sharpening till you raise the burr on the opposite side, move onto the next finer grit stone.

The problem your probably runninig into is that the blade keeps rolling off the flat.

Yes, I've been following the manual. When I see the Burr I've been giving it the soft one or two over.

The burr needs to be raised on both sides of the blade. Then you put in your next finer hone & hone the side of the blade where the burr has rolled to. You can tell which side that is by using a fingernail to pull down from spine to edge till you feel the burr catch your nail. Keep doing that till you get as fine an edge as you want.

Not till then should you give it the "soft 1 or 2 over".
