First post, not new to getting blades sharp but this D2 is tricky. My Infidel seems to have come with a single bevel blade as well. I have an edge pro apex coming in shortly too.

Any recommendations on steps to getting this blade back to razor sharp? It's my edc for the job and has gotten beaten up recently. Specifically how I should progress through dealing with the single bevel and removing the burr off the flat side? Any help is appreciated

It's been a while since I sharpened d2, but don't remember anything tricky about it. Are you burring both sides, then working it down to a clean apex?

The trick is the newer infidels are a chisel grind and I'm not sure how to remove the flat side burr without scratching the black finish.

Ah chisel grind. Sorry no experience with them but I vaguely recall a recent discussion on sharpening them. Personally, I would just create a small bevel on the flat side.

The newer Infidels are not chisel grind. The Pagan is chisel ground, but the Infidel is still double bevel.

Do you have any pictures? I have never seen a single bevel Infidel. Even the gun show I went to in May had double bevel Infidels.

Here's the back side waiting in bevel side to upload. Slow Internet where I am
