I was just wondering if there are folks out there that send their Sebenzas back to CRK to get resharpened...

I'm not real confident that I could keep that razor edge, so I'm debating whether I should just send it in each time. Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks!

Kal El, you should be able to maintain a good edge with the Spyderco Sharpmaker, recommended by CRK. You wont be able to repeat what they do at the shop without the proper equipment, but should be happy with the results you get.

Superman,

The BG-42 steel is easily sharpened, in my opinion, it is the easiest stainless steel to sharpen that I've seen. No need to send it back to the factory.

You should TRY to sharpen it first. In the unlikely even that you fail, you can send it back. It's real easy to sharpen with the Spyderco Sharpmaker.

The blade on one of my larges was getting just a little dull, almost felt like it might have had a slight roll to it. I figured before I sharpened it, I'd buff it with a dremel with flitz. As long as you stay on the bevel and away from the edge, this will really bring back the razor edge. This is no substitute for sharpening, but works well for a light touch up.

Clark,
Take Johnny's advice. Go out and buy a Spyderco Sharpmaker 204MF. It is a really fool proof system IMO. The instruction video and booklet should take away any fears you have of ruining the Sebenza. You can always practice on a cheaper knife too. Free hand sharpening on a bench stone is not that difficult either--it just takes a little more practice. You might look at the FAQ section on sharpening here at BladeForums also.

Them:"What's that clipped to your pocket, a beeper?"
Me:"Uuh....yeah, something like that."
