I have carried a Spyderco for about 7 years :) ( I think). It is the best thing I have ever bought. Fully serrated Delica with a plastic clip. Once I lost it and bought another one. The new one had a metal clip ( which broke off in one day). I am very attached to this knife but it is pretty dull. Once at a gunshow I guy said he could sharpen if for $5.00. When he was done the knife had another bevel. At least I think thats what you call it. Anyway he sharped the wrong side of the blade.
:grumpy:
Can Spyderco or anyone fix my knife

I have only seen a few "professional" knife sharpening businesses, and they all F#%$^ up knives. Usually they over-buff and remove way more steel than necessary, making your edge look melted and making serrations lose their bite. One time I saw a slight color change on the edge, a mostly-blue rainbow look (bad thing for steel).

I would ask to see a sample of a knife they have sharpened first before letting them touch mine. If I wasn't going to sharpen it myself, that is.

Try a pre-angled rod sharpener, like Spyderco's own sharpmaker. Just keep your knife touched up regularly and it will never get dull. They aren't cheap, but it will save you from having a dull knife until the next time you bring it in for sharpening, and it will save you from having to buy a new knife when the "pro" ruins it.

Unless you can find a good professional service, but I am personally much more satisfied with being able to top-off a blade any time I want to myself.
