Sharpening question

I just ordered a S30v DLC coated Tiger Claw HAK. I was going to purchase a Sharpmaker to keep it popping hairs. Question is, how should I go about sharpening a blade with a curved edge like the Tiger Claw? Do I need to do anything differently than I would with a straight edge or is it the same deal? Thanks
 
A sharpmaker will work fine for sharpening a recurved blade. I use the triangular corner of the rod and it works fine.
