Today I sharpened 30 knives and scissors over a 2 hour period at a show we attended for Spinners and Weavers - 2 weeks ago I sharpened 64 knives and scissors over a 4 hour period also at a show for Spinners and Weavers. Can anybody beat that - is there a record held somewhere?

My best is 14 knives in about one hour or a little under. They were a womans kitchen cutlery and all were butter knives when she handed them to me.

On rec.knives I have seen a few posts by Chas and Steve where they described sharpening lots of blades quickly, usually using a belt sander and or buffing wheels. Send a note to the World book of record guys and see if you can't get an entry.
