put a new edge on a Medford s35vn blade today. Comparing to my m390 knives, this felt like too easy. Almost 1/4 of the effort. Is S35VN supposed to be that easy to sharpen? What’s your experience? I used KME to sharpen my knives.

S35VN should be a lot easier to sharpen than M390. M390 should hold an edge better in "normal" use.

I find S30VN and M390/20CV pretty close in ease of sharpening, using DMTs. Both are great steels.
