I have carried my micra on my keychain for a really long time. The scissors are so dull they are useless. What can I use to sharpen them? They don't open all the way in order to get the blades on a stone or rod. I would just buy a new one but I am attached to this one.

Had the same problem with mine. Used the diamond file on my Surge, it's small enough to fit in between the blades of the scissors. It was slow going and took a while because I wanted to be careful. I used the file 'loose' from the multi blade exchanger unique to the Surge. But the file proved its worth IMHO.

That's another case of needing more than 1 multi. hehe. Now if only my wife would listen :D

'hope this helps.

I've never used one, but I've seen "scissor sharpeners" (as opposed to knife sharpeners) for sale. They look like the "one-hand" knife sharpener with the little ceramic or carbide sharpening dealies permanently embedded in a little plastic handle.

I just use my Spyderco Sharpmaker for my Micra.

I found a sapphire nail file/cleaner at the local dollar store. I've found it's sort of a poor man's diamond file. It's very thin, about .025", and does a good job of sharpening those Micra scissors and squeezing far back into the crook of the scissors.

Ahhh. You might be on to something there Shecky. I like the price. Exscuse me I am off to the dollar store.

Ditto on the Diamond file. Although the most effective sharpening method I found was sending it off to Leatherman for warranty service when the rivet holding the blades together eventually loosened too much.
