I want the edge on one of my Delicas reprofiled thinner. All I have is a lansky and don't feel like grinding away for hours on it. I thought someone might have grinding or sanding tools for doing this likety split and would do it for a nominal fee. Not even necessary to finish off the edge just trim it back nice and even. Are there knife shops that do this? Is there somewhere you can send your knife to? Maybe spyderco will do it?

A Delica is not very hard to reprofile. It might be less trouble to do it on your Lansky. It you want to speed up that process you could cover you hone with some 120 grit Wet or Dry sandpaper. Get some Scotch Brand double-sided tape. Lay it lengthwise on your hone. Cut a strip of Wet or Dry paper to match the tape. Press it onto the tape. You should be able to reprofile your edge in a matter of minutes.
