I have a Kershaw Blur that i EDC, and i need to sharpen it. The Steel is SG2, which i am told is a powdered steel edge. I use a lansky sharpener with ceramic rods on all my knives, is there anything different about SG2 i need to know? Thanks...

It is very hard, probably over rockwell 60, so I would use diamond. the ceramic stones will take you forever

I used the ceramic stones on my sharpmaker for a few months..
nothing special about the steel.. I brought the edge to 30 degrees inclusive with a 40 degree micro bevel..
It was not that bad to sharpen at all.. I would take about 10 minutes a week and thats it..
If you can sharpen 154cm, s30v or D2... then you will have no issues...
I love that stuff

SG-2 sharpens easily. When it finally needs sharpening or when you get tired of waiting and sharpen it anyways that is.
