i do a bit of archery and have a bunch of 125grain, single bevel two blade broadheads.

i'm wondering, when sharpening a single bevel blade, do i:

1: start on the bevelled side until i get a wire, then remove the wire from the unbevelled side before stropping?

or

2: start on the unbevelled side until i get a wire, then remove the wire on the bevelled side before stropping?

I vote for option #1. Start on the bevelled side, raise a burr then knock it off the other side.

Sharpen the beveled side and knock the burr off the flat side using a single stroke of file.
