So another forum member approached me about reprofiling his rodent solution. He had some trouble with a lansky sharpening system (which is a great system, but they require intense patience and a light touch).
He sent me his RS and I got it shaving sharp. Below are some before and after pics of his blade. Enjoy!




It took some work, but after some serious reprofiling and working through a number of finer and finer grits and then a final buffing, here is the transformation...



The reflection of the eyes nicely demonstrates the mirror polish.

This new edge is convex. The best way to maintain it will be with a leather strop block. It shaves nicely. I have to say that the Rodent Solution is possibly the most comfortable knife handle that I have had the pleasure of handling.
