Sharpening stone question.

Arkansas stones are classics, and work well. I really like the Razor's Edge Systems stones, both the course and the fine stones. The coarse one works very fast and the fine oen gives a very nice kinda polished toothy edge.

I have also used diamond hones, though that was a long time ago.

If you aren't using the super alloy steels, Arkansas stones should be fine and dandy. If you'll be sharpening 420V a lot, look at ceramic and/or diamond benchstones.
