sharpening stone

hi guys. what do you think would be the best type of sharpening stone to get if im wanting to make my knife very sharp with a very fine edge? thanks guys.

What kind of steel, and what kind of blade grind/geometry? Serrated or plain edge?

I know your not wanting to hear this, but its more the person then the equiptment. However most any stone you pick up will produce the edge your looking for. I recommend Dmt's

DMT's leave a semi course edge, arkansas leave finer but wont sharpen super hard steels, ceramic is really good but slow, either way stropping with compound leaves the best edge after the stones
