Sharpening Techniques for One Piece Line?

I was wondering if anybody had any techniques to pass along for the 4 inch bladed one piece line. I would perfer a lansky or a spyderco sharpener and to retain the factory edge as much as possible but I also want to make it an effecient slicer an general utility knife. Any ideas?

Just use the Spydero Sharpmaker with the diamond-rods first and the ultra-whites second.

You´ll get a very sharp knife and you can´t do anything wrong with it.

For the cost of a Sharpmaker and Diamond rods, you are fast approaching the cost of an EdgePro Apex, which is a far superior sharpener. IMHO

I've always used the Lansky Crock Sticks, no problems and really easy to do.

Maybe you can get them cheaper somewhere else. I don´t know dealers prices in USA, because I come from germay.

You can get diamond rods for your Sharpmaker from New Graham for around $56. That's where I bought mine.
