The Basic11 I bought has this. As I beat on it, it hit some bricks. So I beat it into the bricks. Now I read that the Basic series was made of kids d of an INFI light, I assume you all know that "INFI light" is pretty tough stuff. And the blade finish is something I have never experienced. It is pretty tough. I lost some, but not allot. The edge held up, but is draggy cutting rope and paracord. For kicks, I busted out a sharpie blackened the blade and had at the blade. I could tell pretty quick this sharpener won't go. So what's the best way to sharpen this? Is stopping the only way to go, and what do I use if I really need to get in there and do some sharpening? Thanks much and have a nice day y'all.

Ceramic stick in the flat side.

Sandpaper on the convex side is how I do it.

Thanks a bunch. So it's knows, this knife is in no way dull. While I pounced it through stiff it it brick. Only after doing that several times did it get draggy when I cut rope or string. I'm very Impressed with this knife. When the TGLB comes in I'm thinking I'll send this one in to get her nails done. Going to demo a bathroom with it first though.

No safe queens

Nope. And we had some flooding here to. Got my urban hog hunting grounds. Can't wait to get there and use this to clear all that brush. May wait to sharpen until that's done. I kind of want to see how far it will go before it's unusable. It will be the first time it's sharpened in its life.

Only the old Basic 3, 5, 7, and 9 were made of M-INFI, and very few others like the Euro B4 I think it was called. The B11 and the even numbered Basics are "normal" INFI.

Thanks much for the info on the INFI. Well our shop flooded. While I was getting my stuff I found my ceramic rod. I took a ten swipes with that and its working sharp again. I did notice I gentle the blade some, but you really have to look to notice it. Must have happened when it hit the bricks.
