Sharpening the false edge on a PH

I have been thinking of doing this, as it would make the blade more effective for back-cutting and it would not be a legal problem where I live. I'm not talking about sharpening the "teeth" I'm talking about the inch or so of false blade near the tip on the trailing edge. I would be using a Lansky sharpener to keep the angles accurate.

Have any of you guys done it? What angle did you use? (I'm thinking 30 degrees or higher) How did it turn out? Would you do it again? Do you think this would weaken the tip too much?
