Sharpening the Game Warden....some issues.

The edge profile was horrible upon receipt, very steep and uneven. Not worried about that, but it sure has taken a bit to put an edge on it. Using the Apex Pro model and it has taken an hour on it. I sure hope it keeps an awsome edge for that work. Took it to 1000 grit polish tapes and I think that should work for everyday use. I know you guys are talking EDC and it will used with me for electrical work in an industrial environment. So it will scrape concrete and paint, cut steel belted conveyor belts and of course perform wire stripping duty.

On the home front, it will cook and clean animals and other kitchen stuff as well as any needful house hold chores.

I plan on it getting its fair share of treament, the following days to come will tell......but of course that is part of the fun.

I dont know...as soon as he had that tan FSH looking sswwweeeettttt!!!, he puts it up for sale. :eek:
 
Mine was very good, standard factory sharp. It took just 5 swipes per side with 600 grit sandpaper, 3 with 1000 and 4 or 5 with a ceramic rod and it was shaving sharp. :thumbup: :thumbup: Took it with me today and used it. Great knife!

He didn't do the using on that man! He had to have trade for it like that or something. :D

That's what I was thinking! ;) I don't think his nervous system could take it!
 
My Game Warden Trainer showed up, not very sharp. I was supprised to get one so dull, that would hardly cut paper. It just ripped it.
No problem, though. Like Wirenut, I just got out the EdgePro and spent a good hour taking it to 21*. It's as sharp as anythihng I own, now.
 
My GW was sharp as a razor ! have a couple of bare patches to show for it :D :D Love it , take it just about everywhere. Thanks Busse Team:thumbup:
 
i got one that was so sharp i had to take a bastard file to it just to make it safe to use.

it shaves so good vicki uses it in the shower to shave all her body parts :cool:



EDITED - not Vicki, not knife related...
