Just wondering how you guys do it. I'm talking about the type that's on the Farmer.

i would use some wetordry paper on a piece of glass and sharpen the flat part to make the inside bevel sharp again. i would go edge leading so you dont make a burr on the inside.

Well, I don´t know whats the problem ;)

Just joking... I was also a little confued how to sharpen that awl.

I use for this alwas (!) the stone, which I always use for my working-knifes; a wet-stone which I use to sharpen the scythe. If I want it really sharp, I use a leather belt and some selfmade sharping creme from Ballistol-Oil and salt.

Kind regards

I'm just not sure how to remove the burr since you can't lay the blade flat because of the bent over "lip" you use to pull the tool out with.

I just use the ceramic stones from the Spyderco Sharpmaker and do it by hand.

Belt sander. I don't worry about a burr or anything. It's not a blade, after all.
