Sharpening tips

Quick question...

My Spydie 204 is great for sharpening. I carry a Military for utility work, and a BM 800HSS for defensive work. (I don't feel guilty about the BM, Cause Sal got a portion of that one.) The trouble is that the tip of my Military comes out needle sharp, and the tip of the M2 blade is rounded. I do the same things to them (by the way, the M2 so far has had fewer rust problems, and feels sharper when equally sharpened, but even thought the edge gets used less for actually cutting it doesn't last as long). I have gone so far as to hold the knife straight up and down in an attempt to get a needle sharp point on it (the M2 also wins on toughness, but not edge holding.), with no luck.

thoughts?

thanks
