Hello to all: I am looking for a sharpener for a Mission MPK. I have the rod that Mission makes but am in the market for more of a flat sharpener (along the lines of DMT or E-Z lap. I am not really interested in ceramic or diamond. Any insight is appreciated.

Regards,

Doug

Titanium is soft and I would expect it to clog your hone. A couple alternatives come to mind. A Japanese water stone breaks down as you use it and won't load up. I've got a combination 1000 / 4000 grit that I like. Another choice would be an oil stone. A Norton India stone might work well.

It's a little pricey, but the Edge Pro Apex puts a beautiful polished edge on my MPK. And be sure to get the upgrade kit.

Just make sure that if you are worried about a magnetic signature for whatever reason (EOD, etc), don't use the same sharpener on your MPK that you do for your steel bladed knives...
