I have a kershaw s60v blur blem, it's my first edc knife and I love the edge it came from the factory with. What do I need to sharpen it? Any YouTube guides on how to sharpen a recurve? Thanks for the advice.

Corners of the Sharpmaker.

IMO spyderco pro-files work better

Sharpmaker followed by a narrow strop with rounded corners. It will get it (and all of your knives) scary sharp.

I use a flat Spyderco ceramic Double Stuff. Would you not be able to sharpen a Kershaw Blur on that as if it were a straight blade? I have a friend with a $30V Blur and that's the way he sharpens his.

You could always get wooden dowels and wrap various grits of wet/dry sandpaper around them. Those would make great sharpening rigs for recurved blades, provided the paper lies flat and smooth on the dowels and you can sharpen freehand.

The best sharpener I have found for MY needs around the house and in the field is the "SPEEDY SHARP". Do a serch by that name and you will find them. $10.00 It has a carbide chip in the end and will go through a recurve without any problem and leave one fine edge. I also sharpen my friends fillet knives with it every summer.

Other than that Round Diamond rods, or Ceramics. The bad thing about ceramics is don't drop it, so I don't take them to the field, to wimpy. Great at the house to finish and edge before going a field. Just my two cents.
