Sharpening Tutorial?

Hey guys, I was wondering if there was a good tutorial on sharpening for beginners. A real step by step process for novices... I really want to learn, but don't want to ruin my knives... Any help would be awesome.

I picked up this method from Gavkoo pretty quick. He and some of his subscribers have some other great videos too.

Nothing beats experience! It took me a while to get it right, just keep at it. If you are worried about your nice knives maybe find a "alternate" to sacrafice to the sharpening gods.

Check out the "Fisking" video, where he shows how to put a crazy sharp convex edge on a knife using a belt sander.
