normally to sharpen i do most of it with my 2 by 72 including stropping. but lately if i want it verry sharp ive been using my buffing wheel and green chrome instead of the leather belt. it really seems to work well. has anybody done this?

for a better system than buffing wheels check out the paper wheels. they are safer and a lot faster than a cloth or felt buffing wheel. they work better and faster than a leather strop. i can go from dull to push cutting newspaper sharp in about 1 minute. a lot faster than a buffing wheel. i have heard many people say otherwise but they have never used or seen a set of paper wheels.

I use one for serrations and it works great but for a straight edge the few times I tried it never worked that well.
