Sharpening wood carving knives

I just bought a KME sharpener. I can get my knives hair shaving sharp, but I can only get the angle down to 14 degrees which I feel is too steep. Anyone with any luck sharpening wood carving knives with KME?

Not wood carving knives. I use my KME for pretty much everything else, but not wood carving.
