Im wondering how i should go about sharpening my zt 0302 when it needs a touch up. accounting for the recurve, would a ceramic rode be good enough, or would wooden dowels and sandpaper around them be better. also, could someone tell me what grit ceramic rods are, and how sharp will 1000 grit sandpaper get a knife.

70-302M Ceramic bench stone - medium - 2 x 8 inch (600)
70-302F Ceramic bench stone - fine - 2 x 8 inch (1800)
70-302UF Ceramic bench stone - ultra-fine - 2 x 8 inch (2000)
70-400F1T Ceramic file - triangle shape from set (1800 grit)
70-400F1SP Ceramic file - tear drop shape from set (1800 grit)

There are other sites that list different grits, though.

For recurves, I use the tear drop shaped ceramics for touch-ups, as well as wooden dowels with diamond paste for stropping.

For reprofiling, I use dowels with crocus cloth or such to get the angles I'm looking for, then ceramic rods followed by the stopping.

The curve in the ZT is not enough to need special equipment, I sharpen my 300 with DMT benchstones and leather strops.
