Depends on the sharpening stuff you have.. I use my old Sharpmaker. Mostly I sharpen the serrations and the hit the backside to knock any burr off.
That said.. lots of other sharpeners out there.

As guy g said depends what you have.I free hand using:
For the small serrations, ezy lap diamond pen model and lansky tri angle little "dog bone" sharpner.
For larger serrations round diamond rod and finish off with cermaic rod.
Whatever you go with remeber to take burr off backside.
