Sharpening

2 questions:
1) (And I realize that there is almost certainly several other posts on this already, so my apologies) I consider myself a fairly good at sharpening, I can always get my axes to shave hair, but I was wondering what are some good books/techniques on how to get a true razor edge on an axe.
2) What are some good sites to purchase sharpening stones

Cook's Axe book is pretty much universally recommended for people interested in axes, Leonard Lee has a section on axes in his book on sharpening as well. Lee Valley has a wide selection of sharpening stones. At a basic level there is no difference in sharpening an axe or a knife, the same principles are used, just different bevels and grits.
