I want to touch base on my experience so far with my Emerson Journeyman. The knife has been a joy to carry and its blade shape has worked in every situation I have used it in my EDC. I like extreme slicers and I have sharpened my JM accordingly. I put a mirror polished 20 degree edge on the blade from the factories 25 degree. It is a razor, and I mean razor! I ran out of hair on my arms to test it on. My opinion as the JM being THE best Emerson EDC has not changed.

A story about converting to the Emerson way........
I am in PA and the cheapest place to buy tobacco is at Tobacco stores and outlets. On of my favorite brands (Stoker) of chewing tobacco was on sale with a special promotion coupon on the back of the package. I asked the female attendant if I could buy a pack and cut out the label on the package to apply it on another. She said buy as much as you like and said she would get a box cutter for me to use to cut out all the coupons. This is the typical ballplayer chew bags that are tinfoil on the inside and paper on the outside. I told her I had a pocket knife and I could use it. She told me she would help me cut out the coupons off the tobacco bags with her box cutter. Not thinking, I waved my Journeyman out with a lightning fast "flick....clack" sound. Her eyes lit up and I thought I might have scared her but to my surprised, she said..."that is the coolest knife she had ever seen". The knife sliced through the tobacco bags like butter and with enough control to neatly cut out each label. She was so enamored with the knife, she put the box cutter down and asked to use it to cut out the final coupon. I gave her the Emerson web site and she genuinely seem serious on buying one for her own personal carry at work.

Thanks for sharing Mystro! I'm really tempted to buy a Journeyman after reading this and your review. Maybe in a few months!
