I would ask that you good folks recommend me a maker for a Sharpfinger style knife. If you are a maker, even better.

Parameters:

-Carbon steel

-Thinner/more contoured than “stock” sharpfinger handle

-Similar dimensions- 3.5” ish blade

-Budget. This is a user not intended to break the bank or be a show piece

It’s a nearly perfect knife design in my opinion, but after years of staring at them they do admittedly have that “production” look and feel. I think a slimmer handle with different materials, and a good carbon steel would do the trick.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions and recommendations :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Ryan W makes a really nice version of the Sharpfinger. I carry one daily.

Unfortunately its not in a carbon steel. It's semi-stainless AEB-H.

For what you can buy a used Sharpfinger for: why not grab one cheap; and have fun with a file?
I think I paid about $25 on E-Bay for mine...

I'd definitely talk to some of the makers on here and get one just how you like it!

I would say that I can make whatever you want but I am pretty busy with other knives and preparing for Atlanta Blade Show right now so it would be awhile before I could do it.

but like others said there are a lot of other great makers here so I‘m sure that someone else here could hook you up.

First of all that is a beautiful sharpfinger! Secondly... please forgive me but is this a typo, or actually a steel type I was not aware of?

It’s a brand name for Sandvik 19C27.

I hadn’t heard of it either until seeing Ryan W’s knives.

“AEB-H(Bohler-Uddeholm) - High carbon version of AEB-L steel. Few sources list it as Lone Wolf proprietary steel. However, composition is identical with Sandvik 19C27 steel group and therefore, there's nothing proprietary except for the name. See also see Sandvik 19C27 notes.
Manufacturing Technology - Ingot

Country - Sweden(SE)”

You're very welcome brother.
I never knew the guy, but from your description and the look of that knife, I'd have probably liked him.
