I bought a Sharpfinger this summer because I had always wanted one. Two days ago I went muzzleloading with a buddy. Over two days we got four deer. We used the Sharpfinger on all of them. It would go two deer before a touch up. Not much of a touch up, just a little to keep it laser beam sharp. He was so impressed with the sharpness and how well it handled and quartered deer that I gave him a new one I had run out and bought when I found out they quit making them as a token of appreciation for taking me to his honey hole. He was very happy. He refered to my knife as "a gem of a knife" while he was using it. I think he's right. I was impressed with the Sharpfinger and like it more than ever. I'm tempted to buy half a dozen before they dry up.

Not a bad idea. They were made from '74 through 2004, and there are a lot of them out there. I've used one as a skinner, along with my 165OT as a boner, for many years now. It works well on small game too. I am foreveer sold on Schrade's carbon steel blades for hunting use. I still have my first one bought in '75, and other than being just a tad shorter now (1/16") it is hard to tell it from one of my newer ones. Thirty years of hunting use and it is still ticking!

At the shop, clubhouse or home, I always have a Sharpfinger around. It is actually one of the better full tang utility knives around. I had a few of them modified with the front upsweep reduced, the grinds shoulder brought back for more useful edge and continuing towards the tip with a spectacular high hollow. These blades can really slice like a razor. I don' t use them on animals. But they excell in just about all day to day chores.

A few special models can now be found at www.eknifeworks.com for $15 each!

N2, I couldn't find the $15 Sharpfingers there. They had the standard ones, but all the varients were sold out. I looked at clearance and specials, but no luck. Where they hiding them?

Codger, I saw them in their recent/ current mail out catalog, the Christmas 2004 or something like that. Don' t have the catalog anymore. But they were made with white or off white delrin handles with various wildlife scenes on them. Give them a call as their mailorder products availability may differ from those of online.

Search for sharpfinger. There are 2 models at 14.99
Orange handled (SC152O) and a Scrim SC502SCH as well as 2 for 21.99 with the standard OT handles (SC152) and the 100 Anniv stamp on one of em (SC152S).
And Ebay has about 11 from 1.00 to 52.99 for various types and handles.
Hope that helps.
Larry.

Irv, I did, but when you click the listings, they display "Out of stock" except the standard issue. I fwd'd an e-mail to you from Smokey about this.
