Is it acceptible to use a black sharpie for dye highlights? I'm thinking I'd have better control dying some black letters on a tan sheath with a fresh sharpie than with a tiny brush and regular black dye. They'd be raised letters on an otherwise plain sheath. Opinions?

Thanks, quint and Paul. It just looked too simple to be true :)

Jason, look for the industrial sharpies with the red lettering on the side, instead of the regular versions. I have found they are a bit "blacker" where the regular ones tend to be more purple.
