Hey yall! I have a few blades in M390, and im looking to get a sharpening system to sharpen them by myself. I don't want to spend a ton. I was looking at the Lansky Deluxe Diamond and getting the super sapphire hone, 3 leather stropping hones, and a set of 3 different bars of hone "oil?" Would this work for sharpening M390? Thank you!

Why yes it will, there's nothing wrong with the Lansky. as well as M390, I've sharpened S110V, ZDP189 on my diamond Lansky. I do have the Sapphire stone as well as the extra fine, (yellow)
If you don't have a strop, get one as well. It makes a world of difference.

i have never owned a knife with s90v but i have some with s30v and from the knives i own s90v just takes longer to lose an edje and longer to sharpen but anything that works on s30v should work fine on s90v

I ve been able to sharpen my m390 blades with a sharp maker using the cbn stones to do the first large portion of the work.
After the first sharpening on the sharpmaker, the mid grade stones work well for touchups.

The DMT Aligner kit it FAR superior to the Lansky. I had both to start, many years ago, and using the DMT Aligner was my first cast of achieving truly sharp edges. It's also super carry friendly, with everything fitting into about a 4"x4" nylon zip pouch. Great kit for a beginner!
