I recently purchased a 204, and I'm noticing that the corner edges on some sides of my fine and medium have spots that aren't perfectly flat. There seems to be dips there that might have an adverse effect when sharpening my knives. Also, I have noticed that the rods aren't perfectly straight either. I can tell this by laying two stones on each other. They will only contact at 1 point if the stone seems concave or 2 points if the stone seems conves shaped. It is almost like they are bent slightly like a bow. If they were perfectly straight, they would lie flat against each other without any "dead space". This is in essence changing the degree the edge gets sharpened as it travels along the stone. Is this common with the 204? Does it cause the blade to have an inconsistent edge angle? Any help would be appreciated.
