I own a 204 and generally am very pleased with it. But I was curious if any one knew if there existed polishing rods that could be sleeved into the 204's base. I know that the base can accomodate a 1/2" rod besides the tri-angle stones. I know that there is another sharpening system out there that incorporates 3M abrasive film, but that invovles clamping the blade and appears to be a time consuming activity. Thanks for any observations!

Barry - I've used John Juranich's (Razor edge) "steels" placed in the grooves of the triangles and polish with the same motion as sharpening. they are hardened and polished rods. Best I've seen.

Sal, Thanks for the tip Do you happen to have a url for that company?

Barry, here is a link to Razor-Edge. I use one of their steels regularly and have found it very effective in prolonging the life of an edge.
