Guys,
I've tried all the tricks I know - to no avail....
For about a year I managed to keep my S30V EDC shaving sharp by using the Sharpmaker. Then I found out that S30V could probably handle a 15 deg edge. I reprofiled the blade using sandpaper wrapped around the rods and after a bit of elbow grease managed to get her shaving sharp again. I managed to keep the knife this way for about another year. Recently, I can get it sharp, but not quite shaving sharp - and not sure why?
I have tried the sandpaper trick again at 15 deg, but just couldn't get the blade there. In the end I've left it slightly toothy - not shaving sharp, but she cuts well. It just bothers me that I can't do what I used to be able to do....
Any advice?
Thanks,
Greg
